Data deletion

If you commented on or wrote to one of our accounts

To delete the data we hold about you (comments, messages, button taps and link opens on our My Lovely Planet Instagram accounts), either:

• send DELETE in a direct message to the account you wrote to; or
• email support@mylovelyplanet.org with the subject “Delete my data” and your Instagram username.

A DELETE message is handled at once and confirmed in the conversation; an email request is handled within 30 days and confirmed by email. Deleting a comment or message on Instagram also deletes it from our systems as soon as we learn of it. Without any request, everything is deleted 90 days after our last exchange with you.

If you connected an account to MLP Community Manager

Remove the app in Facebook (Settings → Business Integrations → MLP Community Manager → Remove) or in Instagram (Settings → Apps and websites → MLP Community Manager → Remove). Meta then notifies us: we delete the account’s access token at once and its data within 30 days.

When Meta sends us a deletion request, you receive a confirmation code and a link to follow its status at https://retention.mylovelyplanet.org/legal/deletion-status.
